Types of Grant funding, Uses and Eligibility Criteria

Who is eligible to Apply for RAVI Funding?

Potentially eligible Civil Society Organizations include faith based organizations, trades unions, non-governmental organizations, networks, coalitions and various other bodies.To be eligible to apply for a grant from RAVI, Civil Society Organizations must satisfy both of the following conditions:

  • Be a legally registered not-for-profit Ghanaian CSO or affiliated to/in partnership with a legally registered not-for-profit Ghanaian CSO;
  • Be working at the regional or national level within Ghana (i.e. the CSO must be actively working in several districts within Ghana). 

The following organizations are not eligible for grants from RAVI:

  • International NGOs (unless in partnership with an eligible CSO through whom the funding will be channeled with no funds allocated to the international NGO)
  • Organizations in receipt of core funding from the Ghana Advocacy and Research Programme (G-RAP)
  • Government of Ghana agencies (unless in partnership with an eligible CSO through whom the funding will be channeled with no funds allocated to the government agency)
